One thing I love about Sardinia, is the contrast and variations in the scenery and lifestyle. Designed for the outdoor person, who loves real food and excellent wine. Now when I return to England I feel like Crocodile Dundee but without the knife. It reminds me of how life was when I was younger, with fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables every day, less meat and more fish, where Sundays are for resting with most shop’s closed, where families eat at the table and discuss problems. Summer’s are long and very hot, so beach life is very high on the agenda, making it important to keep in trim to make sure that costume still fits. It’s not unusual to see people in there 80s jogging along the beach to hold back the arthritis etc. Age is no barrier here. I return to England most year’s to visit family and friends, but I’m always glad to return to Sardinia.
