At last my new tablet arrived with a built in GPS, so I downloaded some off-line maps at home of the areas I will be sailing, then off to the Marina to test if it functions. It’s a pleasant drive with the last part along a panoramic road with lovely views, when I arrived at the port of portoscuso it was absolutely still, sunny and very warm for this time of year with the car temperature at 21°c but probably around 16° outside, nevertheless a lovely day. The boat lay in it’s birth absolutely still and the water without a ripple. Anyway I’m not here to look at the water and I was regretting not planning to go for a spin on such a lovely day.
The tablet came out with flying colours and worked like a real chart plotter even in the bright sunlight I could read it at a distance, so all set for my next trip.
